Howzit

Jeez I love this nutty image that my bestie Chad conjured up for me when I joined in on one of the recent crazes.

I had no plan to ever use it, but when I had a little identity theft issue the other day (luckily ‘Heidi’ only asked one person to spot ‘me’ R25k), my AI suggested I quickly change my WA profile pic so my contacts could easily tell which was the real me. And well, there it was, with all four of my arms doing their thing, and my husband in the front row sporting his favourite shirt, a moustache he doesn’t have, and looking a little like Einstein.

But using this image for my first post on this platform isn’t by accident. I’m working on the assumption that some of the readers will be meeting me for the first time, and instead of using words to introduce myself, I’m saying hiya and howzit and here’s me, with this rather charming pic.

If we have been connected for some time, or if you’ve read my posts on other platforms, attended my talks or been on my programmes or in my workshops, you’ll know I love to tell stories (and the odd metaphor) to land a point or help us to get an ‘aha’.

Wherever I am, at home or travelling, in a meeting or on a walk and talk, there are things I notice, sometimes right away and sometimes over time. Not just in the big moments but in the bits in between. Patterns, behaviours, and the way things actually work, not just how we say they do. I’ve found myself collecting these, not formally and not for anything in particular, just because they felt worth holding onto. And this feels like the right place to share some of them. Not perfectly formed or overly polished. Just offered.
